June 29 Bushwalk June 27th 09This morning was very overcast and we were small in numbers, Louise, Carol and yours truly. Louise was looking at the Box Eucalypt trees, tried to work out how she could get her trees to grow so gracefully, like the one pictured above.
Could be an interesting spring, a number of young plants noticed after the rain we have had and hopefully there will be more to come. On our walk it was disappointing to find a lot of trees had been cut down illegally and just left where they had been cut. Molly of course came along, she always has a great time, I wish I had her energy. The cooler weather keeps people away but a walk like this really makes you think about the environment and the native plants growing in our forest. Tread carefully !!!!! June 25 Bring in the ClownsOnce upon a time there was a small boy called Darren, who had a dream.
The clowns in the circus captured his imagination and this was what he wished to be when he grew up. Darren became ill, but he still thought about the clowns. The late Queenie Ashton bought his dream to life and he appeared in a live performance with the Ashton Circus, he talked about it for many days. This was followed by a clown party. Make a wish, Ronald McDonald House and many others, still continue to help children and their families to have special times together. June 10 Memories from slidesRodney, these are for you, have tried person I.D. Dates are a bit of guess work, about 1983. May 30 Morning GlowMay 18 Jenny’s Native Plants |
